The Birthday Boy

We celebrated Kyle's birthday the Sunday after his real birth date. We had a nice family dinner and then we sang Happy Birthday to Kyle and had cupcakes. Kyle wasn't sure if he wanted one at first, but then he had a taste of the icing and that was it. He received lots of fun toys from his aunts and uncle and clothes from grandpa and grandma. He's such a cutie. Happy Birthday Littly Guy!!:)

The Joy of being a Grandma

My greatest joy is Kyle!! Every Saturday I watch Kyle for a couple of hours. This last Saturday, Kyle and I went to lunch with my friend Rindi and then we all went to the Mutton Hollow Craft fair. I couldn't take a stroller into the barn, so I had to carry Kyle. While we were walking around looking at all the wonderful crafts, I suddenly felt this warmth on my side. I looked at Kyle and he smiled at me. Well, I knew what had happened and I told my friend I would be right back. Kyle and I headed out to the car so I could change him. I had just got his diaper off when he suddenly started to laugh. I looked at him and said, "What's so funny?" He just kept laughing and started to pee on me again!! Luckily for me his blanket was right there. I covered him up and he kept on laughing. Every time I started to take the blanket off, he would start peeing on me. I finally got smart and threw the diaper over him and finally got the thing all put on. I just have to say, you got to LOVE a kid that can laugh while he pees on you. Well, we went back into the craft fair and the rest of the day was GREAT!! We had a lot of fun and a lot of LAUGHS:)

Let It Snow

One of the reasons I am always glad we moved here from Nevada is the SNOW!!!
I love the snow. It always makes me feel warm and cuddly, especially with Mike:)
I love to sit in the window and watch the snowflakes fall, but, I happened to be in
church at the time so when we came out this is what we saw!! That is Scott and Cicily's
car that is completely covered.

I Love This!!

I am so enjoying this blog. I don't know what I enjoy more, changing the background or reading the comments. I also enjoy visiting my families blogs too. I really feel like I am catching up with the family this way. By the way, if you receive more than one comment from me (and it's probably the same comment) it's because Cicily is not here coaching me and I'm not sure I'm doing it right. Just to let you know, Meghan now has a blog and you can get to it from my blog. She is getting ready for college and wanted to be familiar with using a blog because that's how she THINKS she's going to communicate with me. She forgets who she is dealing with. As a mother I'm going to have to use the phone more than the computer. I'm still trying to figure out how I'm supposed to deal with the twins going to college. As you can see, we are still attached at the hip.

Happy Anniversary

Well, Mike and I celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary on Friday. Of course, we didn't see each other until Saturday morning. But what a wonderful surprise awaited me at home. When I finally got home from school on Friday, I was surprised with a beautiful vase filled with a dozen red roses. He also gave my a very nice card with a gift card inside. How Thoughtful. He was very cute on Saturday when he told me that he wanted me to use the card to buy "Teacher Clothes." How could you not LOVE a man who is looking out for you? On Saturday evening we went to dinner at a new place called "Andy's" it is a Greek Bar. Yes!! I said a bar. I later told Mike I couldn't believe that we were spending our anniversary at a bar. But I have to tell you, we had a great time, and the food was fantastic!!

School's In

Well, I am back to teaching and have no life. I can't believe that I have time to post anything. I will hopefully have a blog on my school website soon. Mike works opposite hours from me, so it seem like I never see him. We only have the weekends, which are my favorite times. We watch Kyle for half the day on Saturday and then all the kids come over for a family dinner on Sunday. Of course, with school starting, illness is now in the house. Meghan has spent the last week home sick, and I am sure it will make its way through the house.

The Beginning

Here I am, I'm getting on the blog train! My daughter-inlaw showed me her blog and I was instantly hooked! The Bardin family has had many changes over the past 2 years. Scott married Cicily and had baby Kyle 11 months later, Mitch married Chelcie and the twins Meghan and Morgan are Seniors in high school. What a YEAR!!
