Mini Me

I just love this picture!! Kyle has to imitate everything Grandpa does. One Saturday, Mike was sitting on the steps and Kyle sat next to him and started imitating every move that Mike made. It was so cute I just had to get a picture of it, Grandpa's little buddy:)

Come On Easter!!

I can not wait for Easter! Okay, not because it is Easter but because I get to have a couple of days off. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE teaching, but I just need a break right now. It just seems like I am running to work, I am running after work to get things paid or to mail something--you name it--I NEED A BREAK!! Oh, and this college thing--I don't remember having to do all this stuff to get ready for college. You have to fill out a FAFSA, you have to sign verification forms, you have to send in copies of tax information, you have to turn around three times and cry like a baby--okay I made that last one up--but please--I have to do everything TWICE--thank goodness that SUU lets me know what they need because then I can call WSU and find out if Morgan needs the same things, and YES she does. In fact, I have to run right after school tomorrow and take the tax information to WSU and sign some parental form too. On top of that, I have a workshop on Monday and Tuesday and I have to get ready for a substitute--now that is a nightmare.
Okay I think I'm through venting!! I feel a lot better now:)

My favorite way to spend a Saturday

Kyle didn't feel like taking a nap in is travel bed, so he sat on my lap and fell asleep. I couldn't help myself. Next thing I knew I was out too, and I am the luckiest mother in the world to have a daughter who takes pictures of everything:) But I wouldn't change a thing--having my favorite little guy snuggle up to me;)

Belated Christmas

Yeah, I know I'm kind of late--but here are a few of our Christmas pics.

We headed down to Cedar City the day after Christmas and had a great

time with my parents. Morgan got Speed Stackers for Christmas and we

had a great time trying to out stack each other. It was great family fun!!

Traditions

Every year on New Year's Day, Mike and I make tamales with our neighbors Jeremy and Socorro Whisman. We have been doing this for the last 3 years. We have a great time and it takes all day. What a wonderful way to start the New Year off--with food and friends.

The Birthday Boy

We celebrated Kyle's birthday the Sunday after his real birth date. We had a nice family dinner and then we sang Happy Birthday to Kyle and had cupcakes. Kyle wasn't sure if he wanted one at first, but then he had a taste of the icing and that was it. He received lots of fun toys from his aunts and uncle and clothes from grandpa and grandma. He's such a cutie. Happy Birthday Littly Guy!!:)

The Joy of being a Grandma

My greatest joy is Kyle!! Every Saturday I watch Kyle for a couple of hours. This last Saturday, Kyle and I went to lunch with my friend Rindi and then we all went to the Mutton Hollow Craft fair. I couldn't take a stroller into the barn, so I had to carry Kyle. While we were walking around looking at all the wonderful crafts, I suddenly felt this warmth on my side. I looked at Kyle and he smiled at me. Well, I knew what had happened and I told my friend I would be right back. Kyle and I headed out to the car so I could change him. I had just got his diaper off when he suddenly started to laugh. I looked at him and said, "What's so funny?" He just kept laughing and started to pee on me again!! Luckily for me his blanket was right there. I covered him up and he kept on laughing. Every time I started to take the blanket off, he would start peeing on me. I finally got smart and threw the diaper over him and finally got the thing all put on. I just have to say, you got to LOVE a kid that can laugh while he pees on you. Well, we went back into the craft fair and the rest of the day was GREAT!! We had a lot of fun and a lot of LAUGHS:)
